Lady AK’s love for music began when she was a child. Growing up in a house full of musicians  was a major influence in a development of what is yet to be her biggest passion. By age of 4 she was enrolled at a local art school in Kiev, Ukraine, where she immersed classical piano and music theory. Through the teenage years, she became interested in the dance music, would consistently record dozens of UK underground radio shows, gather mix tapes, CDs, eventually ending up with substantial collection of music.   



At age of 16, she had an opportunity to learn the essentials of mixing, peaking her interest in DJ’ing. Later in 1999 she got her first pair of Gemini turntables and a box-full of random records, which gave a start. But it wasn't until 2004 when Lady AK saved enough to buy professional Technics turntables, explored the art of beat mixing and eventually started to get some local gigs. Since, she has played massive amount of club nights and parties throughout Canada, US and Europe. Whether it's a headlining or an opening slot, she has been fortunate enough to play at the most pristine venues, along-side some of the biggest names in the industry.



In the past 10 years, Lady AK has worked hard pushing the music industry through various club promotions, parties and festivals on the West Coast. After relocating to Nelson, BC few years ago, she enrolled herself into a Contemporary Music and Technology Program at a Selkirk College. By April 2013, she has successfully graduated from the 2-year program, acquiring herself a diploma in Music Production and Engineering. In that time, she explored many different genres of music, receiving extensive training in-a-state-of-art recording studio, covering all aspects of the appointed major. In addition, she spent many hours at the "Shambhala Music and Performance Hall"  assisting instructors with engineering duties at a world-class performance facility, around the most recent and up-to-date digital technology. Besides Engineering and Music Production, she worked hard mastering her instrument and composition techniques, as well as learning how write, analyze, arrange and score music. 



As a performing DJ, Lady AK is known to be exceptionally dynamic, who brings great energy to every dance floor. Her collection contains many different genres of music to create proper dancing atmosphere for any type of audiences. Lady AK is observant with a versatile style and she assures to get everyone’s attention with her selective sounds.
